CHICAGO — A community meeting was held Monday evening to discuss plans for a new temporary shelter for migrants on the Northwest Side.Dozens showed up for the meeting at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. It was hosted by representatives from the City of Chicago and the Archdiocese of Chicago.Representatives at Monday's meeting said the final agreement is still pending, however, it is expected migrants will begin moving into the shelter in mid-January. (KFOR) — An 8-year-old boy in Oklahoma was critically injured after someone shot at his family's vehicle, according to the child's mother.Zachariah Bannister was in a car with his mom, Nichole Groshong, while she was making food deliveries for DoorDash in a Southwest Lawton neighborhood on Sunday, Dec. 10. Body parts found in an Encino dumpster last month have been positively identified as the remains of missing 37-year-old mother of three Mei Haskell, the County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner announced Monday. The victim’s husband, 35-year-old Samuel Bond Haskell IV, is accused of killing his wife and dismembering her body. Haskell, the son of a one-time high-profile Hollywood agent at William Morris, has since been charged with his wife’s murder, as well as the murder of his in-laws, whose bodies have not yet been found.
