However, this time was different.Nadeau had been filming a shark around 9:30 a.m. when he turned his drone around and captured a shocking sight – hundreds of stingrays being chased by a shark. See it: Massive roughtail stingray caught in the Long Island Sound "I turned the drone around and was shocked when I saw all the rays so close to the shore," Nadeau said. I immediately focused on the shark, hoping it was going to go in for the attack! AUSTIN (Nexstar) — Whistleblowers suing Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton for wrongful termination will move forward with their lawsuit in a Travis County court, the Texas Supreme Court ruled Friday, lifting a procedural pause and extending Paxton's legal troubles past his impeachment trial. The ruling is a blow to Paxton, whose office came to a $3.3 million settlement agreement with four top officials who claimed Paxton fired them in retaliation for reporting him to the FBI on allegations of bribery and abuse of office in 2020.The Supreme Court's decision comes just four days after the whistleblowers asked them to send their lawsuit back to Travis County. ‘We are not going away’: Paxton whistleblowers announce next steps in legal fight Lead plaintiff Blake Brickman told Nexstar the trial will allow them to compel Paxton to testify, unlike in the Senate's impeachment trial in which Lt. The Carroll family cherishes Saturdays. Before each game, Gophers offensive tackle Quinn Carroll will telephone his father, Jay, and they will pray together. It’s a “fun” tradition that extends to all of Jay and mother Kari’s seven children, but for Quinn it became more pronounced when his dad would drive him to youth football games and practices at age 9.“I kind of tease that this was really my pregame speech to him, masked in a prayer,” Jay, a Gophers tight end from 1981-83, said this week. Then after each game, a band of Carrolls will gather around Quinn for hugs and a debriefing on highlights and drama. They want details on things such as what Quinn might have said when that North Carolina defensive end jacked his hands into Quinn’s facemask in Chapel Hill, N.C., two weeks ago.“We live vicariously through our college brother,” said Collin Carroll, a former long snapper at Virginia Tech, from 2007-11. “It’s the most exciting thing in our lives.”The Carrolls adore these moments beca...NYS Military Museum to host grand re-opening

Three years after a successful ballot initiative push to reintroduce wolves, wildlife advocates will try again to put decisions about managing Colorado’s carnivores in the hands of voters.A coalition of wildlife advocates will pursue a ballot initiative to ban the hunting of mountain lions and the trapping of bobcats in Colorado. If the coalition can collect 124,238 signatures, they will place the question on the 2024 ballot. Those pursuing the ballot initiative say there is no scientific reason to hunt mountain lions or bobcats and that methods used to do so are inhumane.“This isn’t managing anything, this isn’t solving anything,” said Julie Marshall, national communications coordinator for Animal Wellness Action and the Center for Humane Economy. “This is about trophies and about fun. If you want to call it recreation, fine, but it’s clear it’s about trophies.”The effort comes three years after a successful and controversial ballot initiative allowed Colorado vote...Opinion: New greenhouse gas plan will help clean air and protect businesses
